PUAM Clinical Psychology Summer Internship Program
The Psychological Research and Application Center (PUAM) offers an annual Clinical Psychology Summer Internship Program designed specifically for undergraduate psychology students. Held during the summer term, this program aims to foster academic engagement, promote research-oriented thinking, and introduce participants to core concepts and practices within the field of clinical psychology.
Program overview
The internship is conducted in person at PUAM and includes the following components:

Seminars covering theoretical foundations of clinical psychology

Project-based work carried out in small groups

Research activities, including literature reviews and thematic presentations

Applied group exercises, such as role-play simulations and theoretical case analyses
-
Expert talks by practicing clinical psychologists who share insights into their professional trajectories, theoretical orientations, and case-based experiences
Learning outcomes
The program is designed to support participants in gaining:

A comprehensive understanding of ethical principles, including confidentiality, professional boundaries, and therapeutic stance

The ability to critically engage with academic literature in the field of clinical psychology

Please note: This is a non-clinical, observation- and research-oriented program. Participants will not observe real therapy sessions, conduct individual clinical interviews, or receive psychological testing training. All activities are structured in accordance with ethical guidelines and educational objectives.
Application requirements

The internship program is free of charge

Applicants must be enrolled undergraduate psychology students with valid student status and university-provided health insurance during the internship period

Applications from individuals without active student status or university-sponsored insurance will not be considered
-
Candidates must have successfully completed at least two of the following courses: Personality Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Psychopathology. These courses must be visible on the academic transcript
