It is not appropriate to apply to our center in crisis situations, suicide and emergency situations. In such cases, you can apply to our center after you seek psychiatric intervention and / or treatment.


 

Yes. You do not need to have a problem requiring treatment to start therapy. In the psychological support sessions, you can share your daily life experiences, feelings and thoughts. Expressing your life and internal processes verbally will help you to make sense of yourself again or from different angles.

 

How is Confidentiality Ensured in Meetings at the Center?

In accordance with this, all kinds of information, evaluation, visual recording or written materials about you are kept under protection by the psychologist you interview. Documents and records are kept in a way that they cannot be taken out of the center.

It may be possible to record audio and / or video during interviews with students, as part of the supervision training of clinical psychology graduate students, which is one of the purposes of establishment of  IUE Psychology Research and Application Center. The  face of the counselee is not shown in the video recordings. It is recorded at an angle where only the therapist is visible. Apart from these, counselees have the right to decide on "sound only " or "image only". In this case, the "Consent Form", indicating that you consent to being recorded, is submitted for your signature. With the Consent Form, the consent is obtained for the information in the interviews to be used only by clinical psychology students and clinical psychology faculty for educational purposes, without revealing the identity of the client.

You can also receive service from our center even if you do not want the video and audio recording of your session.
 

You may have changed your mind about consent after signing the consent form before starting psychotherapy. In this case, you can continue to receive psychotherapy services.

You can review the resumes of all psychologists working in our center as faculty members and specialist clinical psychologists in the "Our Team" section. Apart from this, faculty members determine the which psychologists, who continue their clinical psychology graduate education, can work with which counselees.

When you start a session with a specialist, you start a mutual therapeutic relationship. After a while, when you want to change the specialist you receive service from, it would create an unhealthy situation for the process that has started. Therefore, we recommend that you do not change the specialist you are seeing in terms of the progress of the therapy and its compliance with ethical principles.

When you make an appointment, your name is put on the waiting list. Returning to you from the waiting list varies depending on the intensity. When you are called for an appointment, a common day and meeting time is determined with the psychologist of your choice, by obtaining the information of the days and times you are available.

If you are late for the appointment, the time you are late is not added to the total session time. It is important that you call the center and give information about the delay and cancellation. In case of successive cancellations / absenteeism, if you want to make a new appointment, your therapy may be interrupted, and you may be added to the waiting list.

You can pay the fee in the center when you come for your session. In return, you will receive a receipt from the center that you have made your payment.
