Eating Disorders, Diagnosis, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Ege Bıçaker, a final-year doctoral candidate at McGill University, will deliver a talk on the definition of eating disorders, the diagnostic process, common misconceptions, and treatment methods with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy.
Ege has conducted her doctoral research on the impact of self-compassion on eating disorders and has completed supervised internships at prestigious institutions, including the Douglas Mental Health Institute Eating Disorders Clinic, the Jewish General Hospital Adolescent Health Clinic, and the McGill University Health Centre.
